A new FACEIT team entry has revealed that Anyone’s Legend is set to compete in Phase 2 of the OWCS 2026 Open Qualifiers. The lineup features a strong mix of OWCS talent, including the Gen.G trio of Jamie “Backbone” O'Neill, Christian “Khenail” Ríos, and Lewis “Crispy” Beer, as well as William “WMaimone” Maimone, Kai “Kai” Collins, Tama, and Ahmed “amdp” Balateef. Former Gen.G assistant coach Maeng “YaHo” Hyun-ho will lead the team as head coach.

The inclusion of Backbone, Khenail, and crispy – all of whom last competed in OWCS 2025 Stage 3 – grants Anyone’s Legend direct qualification to Phase 2 of the Open Qualifiers.

Anyone’s Legend operate under the umbrella of the Chinese esports organisation All Gamers. The organisation most recently competed in OWCS Korea but has since shifted its focus to OWCS China for the 2026 campaign. Notably, an update to the OWCS rulebook on February 3 now allows organisations to field exactly two rosters in OWCS, provided one competes in China and the other in NA, EMEA, or Asia.

The roster includes proven OWCS competitors. WMaimone was part of the Geekay Esports squad that won OWCS 2025 Stage 2 and came third in Stage 3 in North America. Kai previously competed with The Ultimates during OWCS Stage 1 and 2 before the team exited the scene, and most recently played alongside amdp for ZNTRX in the Saudi eLeague. Tama joins after a 5th-6th place finish with Team Vision in OWCS 2025 Stage 3, where they were eliminated in the playoffs by Team Peps.

Importantly, Backbone will take on an assistant coach role alongside his former Gen.G coach, YaHo, who will serve as the team's head coach.

With a core that has already proven capable of competing at the OWCS level, Anyone’s Legend enters the Open Qualifiers as a roster to watch. Skipping Phase 1 gives them a head start, but the question is whether this newly assembled lineup can convert its potential into qualification for Stage 1 of OWCS 2026.
