ZETA DIVISION have announced the departure of four members of their Overwatch roster, confirming that Kim “AlphaYi” Jun, Jung “Probe” Jun-young, Kim “Mag” Tae-sung, and Kim “Rascal” Dong-jun will all be leaving the organisation following the expiration of their contracts.

The announcement comes just over a week after ZETA DIVISION revealed that they had also parted ways with head coach Sim “Mobydik” Seung-bo and main support Kim “Bliss” So-myung, marking a rapid and decisive restructuring of the team following a disappointing end to their 2025 campaign.

In an official statement, ZETA DIVISION thanked all four departing members for their contributions. AlphaYi and Rascal were initially brought in when ZETA DIVISION returned to competitive Overwatch in 2024, after having ceased operations in the scene back in 2020. The reformed roster was built to compete in the Esports World Cup 2024 and then in the Overwatch Champions Series. Mag and Probe were signed in Aug. 2025 to compete in OWCS Korea Stage 3. However, the team fell short of expectations, finishing fourth in OWCS Korea Stage 3 before being eliminated by Team Falcons in the OWCS 2025 Korea Road to World Finals, failing to qualify for the World Finals in Stockholm.

With these departures, ZETA DIVISION’s remaining roster composition has sparked discussion around the organisation’s future direction. The team has retained Shin “BERNAR” Se-won and Oh “Pelican” Se-hyun as their only Korean players, while Oh “FiNN” Se-jin, due to his nationality, is understood to count as both a Japanese and a Korean player under current (a maximum of two) import rules. This leaves ZETA with the flexibility to field up to three high-level Korean players while remaining eligible to compete in the Japanese region, if they sign two Japanese players to fill the remaining two squad roles.

That said, any regional move is only public speculation at the moment. However, the organisation is acting swiftly to reshape its Overwatch division, with significant changes already underway and more announcements likely in the coming weeks.
