📝 Geekay Esports part ways with entire North American roster
Geekay Esports have announced that they are parting ways with their Overwatch squad following the 2025 season.

Geekay signed the core of the roster after their tenure with NTMR, where they won the Overwatch Champions Series NA Stage 1 and finished 3rd in the first major tournament of the year. The roster continued to find notable domestic success under Geekay Esports. They continued on their momentum, finishing first and third in OWCS NA Stage 2 and Stage 3, respectively. Those results earned the team appearances at two international events, where they finished 5th-8th at the Esports World Cup and 9th-12th at the 2025 World Finals.
The now-former Geekay Esports players are currently competing for collegiate teams in North America. This arrangement allows non-North American players to continue playing in the region, though it remains unclear whether the players will stay in North America long-term.
Earlier in Stage 3, Geekay Esports also parted ways with coach Kim “GgulTaek” Jeong-youn following internal conflicts. OWTV previously reported more details regarding that situation.
With the esports part of the Geekay operation based in Saudi Arabia, Geekay’s future involvement in North American Overwatch remains uncertain. It is currently unclear whether the organisation intends to continue competing in the region, shift its focus back to EMEA, or completely walk away from the sport.
With the futures of both the players and organisation undecided, the former roster enters free agency with experience across multiple regions and international events.
