Geekay Esports have undergone a complete overhaul from the fan-favourite group of misfits that ran the North American region for OWCS Stage 2 and 3 last year.

An all-new roster, coach, and even region, Geekay are looking to expand their portfolio with some success in their home region, EMEA. They have signed some of the core of Al Qadsiah from last year, and have bolstered it with experienced Korean talent.

ZIYAD is coming off of one of the most memorable rookie seasons in Overwatch history, displaying not only mechanical skill but also the ability to perform at the very top level. His signature D.Va is legendary, but he has also demonstrated prowess on Ramattra, Orisa, and Zarya. Possibly the hottest commodity coming out of 2025, Geekay will be thrilled to have him on their roster.

Similarly, in the DPS slots, they have signed two proven players at the top of their game. LBBD7 showed he was one of the best hitscan players, establishing himself as a key factor in Al Qadsiah's back-to-back grand final runs.

AlphaYi was one of the brightest sparks on a ZETA DIVISION team that never quite reached its potential last year. He had some memorable highlight-reel plays and shouldered the responsibility of carrying his team through tough matchups. His tracer in particular looked elite as soon as he made the switch back from his brief stint on main support.

FiNN was a slightly quieter performer on ZETA last year, but had his moments as well. The Overwatch League veteran is still an elite flex support when things line up for him.

Haku's signing might be the main point of contention for this squad. The Saudi main support proved his mettle on the world stage, playing a key role in the Saudi team that won the Overwatch World Cup in 2023. He was a big part of Al Qadsiah’s success in the Saudi ELeague, but he hasn't played in the OWCS since the Champions Clash. Only time will tell if his main support play will hold up in an EMEA region that is quickly shaping up to be very strong.

To top things off, coach Go "Aid" Jae-yoon is taking the helm of this promising Geekay roster, coming off his stint with Team Falcons.

Geekay Esports have now secured two former ZETA players with a wealth of experience, two of Saudi Arabia's deadliest prospects right after their most successful season, and a top head coach to round things out. One thing is sure: the melee at the top of the EMEA table will be very exciting to watch.
