📝 Proper leaves Team Falcons ahead of 2026 season
Star flex-DPS player Kim "Proper" Dong-hyun has left Team Falcons ahead of the 2026 season.

Proper joined Team Falcons in 2024 after previously being on the San Francisco Shock in the Overwatch League. As the key player on the Korean powerhouse, Proper helped bring Team Falcons to multiple Top 3 finishes regionally, as well as a win at the 2024 World Finals and 2025 Midseason Championship, and winning MVP of that tournament.
In a statement on X, Team Falcons noted how the team ultimately did not extend Proper’s contract after “an extended period of negotiations.”

Rumours surrounding Proper’s departure first gained relevance after he did not participate with Team Falcons at the 2026 Pre-Season Bootcamp event earlier this February. Although the team finished at a respectable 3rd-4th place alongside Team Liquid, the team ended up playing newly signed DPS player Baek "Checkmate" Seung-hun from Al Qadsiah as negotiations with Proper went on behind the scenes.
This move by Team Falcons is one of the biggest of the 2026 off-season. Proper is widely considered to be one of the best in his role and an elite in-game leader, making his next move extremely influential to the power levels both within Korea and globally.
While there are many rumours circulating about Proper’s future in OWCS, no official announcements have been made at the time of writing.
