sHockWave and Galaa have been members of the team since the inception of the Overwatch Champions Series, when Virtus.pro acquired the Ataraxia roster in 2024.

This announcement follows both Ilari “Vestola” Vestola and Kim “Jaewoo” Jae-woo leaving the team in early November. They will be looking to fill in the currently vacant roster slots going into the 2026 season, with only head coach Cho “SMASH” Bee-won and Kevin “kevster” Persson, Kwon “FiXa” Yeong-hun, and Jonas “eis” Stratemeyer remaining on the roster. However, Virtus.pro's official announcement of sHockWave's and Galaa's departure states that their roster announcement is already scheduled for January, suggesting that the Armenian organisation has locked in its full roster for 2026.

Virtus.pro has been a staple of EMEA OWCS, having reached three LAN events and boasting a perfect Stage 1 finish at OWCS 2025. Despite domestic success, Virtus.pro were unable to convert it into deep LAN runs, with their best finish being 5th-6th at Champions Clash in Hangzhou, but ultimately missing out on a World Finals appearance altogether. However, the team's consistent top-3 finish in regular seasons suggests a higher ceiling in the international scene.

sHockWave, an Overwatch League veteran with a proven track record, has announced that he is looking for a team ahead of the upcoming season. Galaa, a newer presence at the top level of competitive Overwatch who has already established himself as one of the region’s strongest flex supports. It remains unclear where either player will land for the 2026 season.

OWCS rostermania continues, and with the abundance of free agents and roster slots at the moment, we'll be keeping a close eye on what the teams end up looking like at the start of the season.
