📝 SSG confirm two statement signings with Sugarfree and ChrisTFer
Spacestation Gaming have announced that Kamden “Sugarfree” Hijada and coach Christopher “ChrisTFer” Graham are staying with the organisation for the 2026 season.
Sugarfree has been a cornerstone of the SSG squad. He signed up with the team when SSG joined the NA region as one of the three Overwatch Champions Series Partner Teams. Sugarfree and SSG achieved good domestic results, finishing 2nd in both OWCS NA Stage 1 and Stage 3, falling just shy of NTMR in Stage 1 and Team Liquid in Stage 3.

SSG finished 4th in OWCS NA Stage 2, and failed to qualify for the Midseason Championship as a result. ChrisTFer joined the team as coach for the final stretch of the season, replacing Max “Unter” Unterwurzacher. ChrisTFer had previously coached SSG’s roster during the team’s stint in the EMEA region in 2024.

The team had a disappointing international showing in 2025, missing out on the Midseason Championship and finishing 5th-6th in the Champions Clash and 7th-8th in the World Finals. However, the team’s continued participation in the OWCS Partner Program and the statement renewals of both Sugarfree and ChrisTFer demonstrate the organisation’s high domestic and international ambitions in the sport.
