The Kafe return to OWCS with the former LuneX core

In August, team manager Adam "debit" Moutrane announced that the roster’s contracts with LuneX Gaming had ended. The former LuneX Gaming core has now found a new home, announcing their acquisition by North American team The Kafe.

All players from LuneX’s Stage 2 roster will transition to The Kafe, with only substitute DPS player Aaron "Lich" Seoprasad departing the team. Lich is still actively playing in FACEIT League with LAIKA, where they currently stand as one of the favourites for the playoffs.

The Kafe has been making the rounds in North America, sponsoring teams in FACEIT League as well as OWCS when they picked up the former Extinction core ahead of Stage 2. With NA’s fourth-best roster in tow, The Kafe now has a real opportunity to break into the international sphere in Overwatch.

The Kafe will begin their Stage 3 journey when games return on October 10.

Current The Kafe roster:

  • xomba - Damage
  • xten - Damage
  • Cartifan22 - Tank
  • Alexander "Zeb" Shepard - Tank
  • Z. "zzz" Harvey - Support
  • Ava "NenWhy" McHenry - Support
