📝 Twisted Minds secure FunnyAstro with multi-year contract renewal

Saudi Arabian organisation Twisted Minds have announced a key decision ahead of the 2026 season, confirming a new two-year contract for main support Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway.

The renewal keeps FunnyAstro with the team until the end of the 2027 season. Although other teams reportedly made competing offers, FunnyAstro ultimately opted to remain with Twisted Minds.

Team captain Ahmad "Youbi" Alyoubi had previously suggested that retaining FunnyAstro was a priority for 2026. Speaking on his personal stream, Youbi praised the veteran support, saying, “There's no substitute for Astro, he's the perfect player."

FunnyAstro’s renewal comes after Twisted Minds released DPS Maximilian "Seicoe" Otter. Despite widespread community speculation about the other roster moves the team will make, the team have yet to confirm them.

Securing FunnyAstro was a priority for this team. His experience and consistency have been central to Twisted Minds’ game plan, and losing him would have left an immense gap in the roster’s core.
