📝 ZETA DIVISION unveil star-studded 2026 OWCS roster
OWCS Partner Team ZETA DIVISION have announced a blockbuster roster for the 2026 season, headlined by the arrivals of Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun, Park “Viol2t” Min-ki, Kim “Shu” Jin-seo, Lee “KNIFE” Seon-woo, and Lee “Mealgaru” Jeong-hwan. The quintet joins the lone returning member from 2025, Shin “BERNAR” Se-won, with coaches Park “Crusty” Dae-hee and Kim “GgulTaek” Jeong-youn taking the helm behind the scenes.

The announcement comes shortly after Proper confirmed his departure from Team Falcons, adding further intrigue to one of the most high-profile off-seasons in OWCS. Earlier in the off-season, ZETA parted ways with most of their 2025 lineup, while Overwatch League veteran Oh “Pelican” Se-hyun announced his retirement, closing the book on his stint with the organisation that began in 2024.
The new ZETA DIVISION roster is steeped in Overwatch League history. Shu, Viol2t, and BERNAR previously played together in 2023 under Houston Outlaws during the final season of the Overwatch League. Viol2t and Proper also share championship roots from their time with the San Francisco Shock.
Viol2t previously represented ZETA DIVISION before departing for Team Vision in EMEA, where he competed in FACEIT League Master during Stage 2 and later finished 5th-6th in OWCS Stage 3.
In the OWCS era, Shu and Proper stood on opposite sides of one of Korea’s fiercest rivalries. Shu was the veteran leader at Crazy Raccoon, achieving seven first-place finishes and most recently claiming third at the 2025 World Finals after defeating Team Falcons. Proper, meanwhile, led Team Falcons to four first-place finishes, including lifting the World Finals trophy in 2024. Now united, their partnership has the foundations to be one of the defining storylines of the 2026 season.
KNIFE spent 2025 primarily in North America with Team Liquid, where he secured a third-place finish in Stage 1 and a runner-up finish in Stage 2 to qualify for the Midseason Championship. He concluded the year with RØDE ONSIDE GAMING in Stage 3.
Mealgaru spent the season with WAE alongside his older brother Ade. Mealgaru posted three consecutive third-place finishes across all OWCS 2025 stages, notably eliminating ZETA in both Stage 2 and Stage 3 to secure podium finishes.
Guiding the project is Crusty and Ggultaek. Crusty spent most of his coaching career at the helm of the San Francisco Shock, which won multiple titles. Notably, he coached both Proper and Viol2t while there. In the OWCS era, he coached the 2024 Team Falcons side alongside Choi “Junkbuck” Jae-won, which won the 2024 World Championship, and spent 2025 in EMEA, coaching Gen.G Esports. Ggultaek’s 2025 campaign in NA was defined by immediate success. He coached NTMR to an OWCS Stage 1 title and a third-place finish at Champions Clash on the back of a statement win over Crazy Raccoon. He then transitioned to Geekay Esports with the same squad and secured another Stage title, before he was let go prior to the start of the 2025 World Finals.
ZETA DIVISION have consistently fielded competitive rosters in the OWCS era. Despite a third-place finish at the 2024 Esports World Cup and multiple runner-up domestic finishes, the organisation showed promise in 2025, only to have its LAN ambitions repeatedly cut short at the final hurdle.
This new line-up is an unmistakable statement of ambition. With Tokyo set to host the first major OWCS major of the year, organised by ZETA’s parent company, GANYMEDE Inc., the pressure and opportunity are uniquely aligned.
If this unification of championship prestige and talent comes together as expected, ZETA DIVISION may just disrupt the status quo set by the current top-three in Korea.
