Al Qadsiah pay former players their outstanding prize money

Kristian "Kellex" Keller has confirmed that he and his former Al Qadsiah teammates have received the full amount of prize money they were owed from the 2025 season.

Kellex told OWTV that the payments have now been settled in full, closing a dispute that had run for more than a year.

"It took some back and forth, but we have now all been paid what we were owed," he said. Kellex thanked Al Qadsiah, and the organisation's multi-sports director Trafford Wilson in particular, for what he described as consistent communication and transparency, adding that he wished the people there nothing but the best going forward.

OWTV reported in August that Kellex was still owed roughly $23,000 in prize money, covering two Saudi eLeague titles and the 2025 Esports World Cup Midseason Championship. Several of his former teammates were owed comparable amounts.

Kellex said in August that he had largely given up on recovering the money himself, and that he spoke publicly to make sure the same thing did not happen to the players who came after him.

Since then, Al Qadsiah dropped their entire 2026 roster, and the players announced searches for new organisations in late August.

While the organisation has not officially confirmed anything yet, it's widely expected that they won't return to competing in Overwatch.
