Blizzard announced the return of Calling All Heroes for 2026, with an increased emphasis on easier scheduling, a simpler sign-up process, more equitable prize distribution, and a much clearer format.

Calling All Heroes is an esports initiative organised by Blizzard Entertainment and Raidiant to foster inclusivity by providing a professional, competitive environment for marginalised gender identities.

This time around, there’s a clear focus on making entry easier and more accessible for players. Registration is open for up to 64 teams, and eligibility verification has been simplified. Weekend matchdays should also make scheduling matches easier (rescheduling is still allowed when needed).

The 2026 season of CAH also introduces a more balanced and inclusive prize pool, totalling $40,000. The prizing structure will now be distribute a greater share of the prize money to lower-placing teams to better reward participants’ long-term efforts.

Compared to the 2025 season:

  • The prize money for first place has been lowered by around 16% ($12,000 down to $10,000).
  • Second place has remained the same ($6,000).
  • Third place has increased by 25% ($4,000 to $5,000).
  • Fourth place has doubled ($2,000 to $4,000).
  • Fifth to Eighth places have tripled ($1,000 to $3,000).
  • With an added $2,000 and $1,000 for first and second places in the season playoffs.

Alongside these changes, the competition format has been simplified into a clear three-phase structure. The competition will start with a six-round Swiss format in the Regular Season, followed by an eight-team playoff to determine the final championship seeding. The playoff teams will advance to the Calling All Heroes Raidiant Series 2026 Championship that will determine the ultimate CAH victor.
