Fantasy preview: OWCS 2026 Korea Stage 2 Week 3

SkanGX6 min read

Welcome back to the OWTV Fantasy preview! It’s time to go back to the lab again after another week full of 3-0 sweeps and D0NGHAK adding another unsuccessful ChiYo takedown attempt to his list.

If you haven’t read any of our previews, Here’s a quick reminder of our goal with these weekly previews: to offer thought-provoking options for your team, while keeping you up to date with any major developments that might impact OWCS Fantasy. We do this by breaking down the fixtures, highlighting players we think offer strong value, and sharing any other strategies we come up with. We’ll also play along each week with our own team, Fantasy Watchpoint, and explain the reasoning behind the roster we lock in.

Fixture review

If you’re looking to review the fixtures yourself, we’ve included a full Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) to help you visualise them and make your own decisions. We’ve pre-colored them according to our own opinions:

  • Green indicates what we think should be a favoured match
  • Yellow indicates a matchup that could go either way
  • Red indicates little upset potential

We’ve also included previous results in the graphic to save you a few clicks.

Before diving into the fixture review, note that the new patch will likely shake things up significantly this week, so we will mostly rely on existing data rather than speculate.

We kickstart the week with a rank-defining match between Cheeseburger and ZANSIDE Gaming. ZANSIDE have been disappointing so far. No ZANSIDE player is in the top 10 highest scorers of the week nor the top 10 cumulative PCM rankings, even when excluding the top four teams. This match should tell us whether ZANSIDE as a whole are closer to being above the line separating the bottom teams in Korea or below it. Unfortunately for both sides, afterwards, they have dates with T1 and ZETA DIVISION, respectively, where neither team is expected to do well.

Team Falcons continue their mission of discontinuing Korea's talent factories by taking on O2 Blast. After beating Korea's "New Gen" in T1, they'll be looking to reproduce their results against O2 in a much smoother fashion.

Both T1 and O2 Blast will have to deal with the region's final boss, the big scary Crazy Raccoon. Despite losing to Falcons, T1 have a history of upsetting Crazy Raccoon. The same cannot be said for O2. WuTian mode will have to wait another week.

We have a second rank-defining match as SuperBad take on Poker Face. Poker Face will afterwards face Viol2t's (0.97 PCM) ZETA DIVISION, which will likely not end well for the struggling PF side.

Finally, every family’s favourite team, SuperBad, who surprisingly had three players in Dumbbell (0.20 PCM), Univ2r (0.52 PCM), and Homerunball (0.26 PCM), earn more than 15 points last week. They'll now attempt a leap of faith to see whether they can catch Falcons on an off day and replicate some of those fantasy returns.

Fantasy metawatch

The new patch landed on Tuesday. With both a brand new hero and sweeping changes across many heroes, it is impossible to predict what will happen when the first Korea game gets underway. Teams could simply stick to what they already know, or we could see one team discover a new composition and force the entire region to adapt overnight. Rather than make bold predictions, here's what we've observed so far.

We saw more Mizuki/Sigma comps, alongside the familiar Cat/Bastion, some ground Bastion paired with a Symmetra, Mauga comps, and Falcon’s novelty: Mauga/Anran burn comp, one that won’t get extinguished even if you were to SP1NT (0.63 PCM) on it. In these burn comps, Anran emerges as a good scorer in stomps (e.g., Stalk3r (0.54 PCM) vs. Cheeseburger, Proper (1.07 PCM) vs. SuperBad).

T1 also gave us a new meme comp in Cat/Widow. In the spirit of Cat/Bastion, perhaps we might even see the flying French sniper dominate in Paris later this Summer. We've also seen them pull Vendetta against Falcons (maybe even more so now, with Vendetta’s buffs in the patch).

The O2 Blast, Cheeseburger, and Poker Face rotation strategy has been working well so far. Outside of O2, ZETA, and Falcons, every team has an ONSIDE calendar this week.

Roster roulette-wise. HEISER (0.00 PCM) finally saw some playtime, as we predicted, but not enough to threaten Void's position. Despite costing 18, he hasn't been the value pick everybody wished he’d be. Kilo (0.24 PCM) struggled again, and if there was ever a week for Probe to play, it's probably this one.

Jasm1ne (0.44 PCM) got some playtime against weaker opposition. Meanwhile, Falcons are splitting playtime between Someone (0.51 PCM) and Hanbin (0.72 PCM). The latter has been getting the easier fixtures and came in to contribute to the win against T1.

Over at Crazy Raccoon, LIP (0.70 PCM) has only sat out for two maps so far, both against Falcons. Perhaps the LIP train has already passed with T1 and ZETA on the menu for Week 3 and Week 4.

Junbin (0.27 PCM) has played just two maps so far. At the same time, every additional map MAX (1.10 PCM) plays only increases the odds of Junbin getting the nod for a pity map.

Cost-effective players

Tank: Bernar, ZETA DIVISION (cost: 22) (0.83 PCM)

Bernar sits third among all tanks in cumulative PCM and offers a combination of immediate value and future planning. Much like MAX and Junbin, he shares playtime with Mealgaru (0.29 PCM). Picking up Bernar this week lets you benefit from ZETA's two easy fixtures while also setting yourself up nicely for Week 4, where they face both Team Falcons and Crazy Raccoon. In other words, you get the best of both worlds; stomps now and close games next week.

DPS: ZEST, T1 (cost: 21.5) (0.88 PCM)

T1 continue to dominate the fantasy scoring charts, with three players in last week's top five scorers. ZEST is the perfect alternative to Proud (1.18 PCM) if you can’t afford to sell one of your supports to get Bliss (1.20 PCM). He cracked the top ten scorers himself and offers a way into the T1 DPS spot if you’re not a believer in Proud’s Cat/Widow.

Support: TenTen, Cheeseburger (cost: 17) (0.73 PCM)

Missed out on WooChan (0.81 PCM)? Looking for a budget support? TenTen might be the answer. At just 17-cost, and an ONSIDE calendar stretching till the end of the regular season, TenTen sounds too good to be true.

Honourable mention: K4ne, Poker Face (cost: 17)  (0.34 PCM)

K4ne is another cog in the wheels of operation “Target SuperBad.” Even though Poker Face are still winless this stage, K4ne has finished as Poker Face's highest scorer in three of their four matches and managed to avoid going negative so far.

OWTV Fantasy staff team

  • Bernar - Tank (cost: 22) (0.83 PCM)
  • K4ne - DPS (cost: 17) (0.34 PCM)
  • Proud - DPS (cost: 22.5) (1.18 PCM)
  • skewed - Support (cost: 22.5)  (1.13 PCM)
  • WooChan- Support (cost: 17.5) (0.81 PCM)

We ended the week sitting at 79th overall, and we are still holding on to the lead in the VIP standings.

The first of our two transfers this week is Bernar. He comes in to carry us through the final stretch of the regular season. Joining him is K4ne. Originally, the plan was to bring in two Poker Face assets to capitalize on their SuperBad gameweek. We had CARU in mind, but after Void’s weak returns, we felt upgrading the tank was a higher priority. On top of that, WooChan has been very consistent this regular season, so it just works!

Next week, we are likely to downgrade one of Proud or skewed into ZEST or Bliss. In week 4, T1 doesn't face any teams capable of challenging them, which could result in them taking their foot off the gas, which tends not to translate into a lot of fantasy points.

With only two weeks of regular season remaining, every transfer matters, every point matters, and every roster decision is pivotal. Good luck this week!
