Geekay Esports sign Kellex and Undine
Geekay Esports have announced two new signings ahead of the OWCS EMEA Stage 2. Kristian “Kellex” Keller joins the team as main support, and Son “Undine” Young-woo as head coach.
Kellex comes out of retirement again to boost the Saudi organisation’s EWC bid heading into Stage 2. The Dane last played for Al Qadsiah in OWCS 2025 Stage 3 and the subsequent 2025 World Finals, where they finished as world runners-up. He reunites with former Al Qadsiah teammates Ziyad “ZIYAD” Alkathiri, Abdulelah “LBDD7” Alfaifi, and Osama “Haku” Abdullah.
Haku will continue his tenure with the team as a substitute, making way for the Overwatch League veteran.
The new head coach, Undine, also joins the team from Al Qadsiah, after coaching the Knights for a single OWCS stage. He will fill the shoes left by the head coach, Go “Aid” Jae-yoon, who announced his retirement following the conclusion of Stage 1. This will mark the Korean coach’s third spell in EMEA, following spells with Team Vision and Al Qadsiah.
Geekay Esports came within an inch of Champions Clash qualification in Stage 1, having defeated Virtus.pro in the upper brackets, but ultimately failed to repeat the feat in the lower bracket. They finished the stage in third place, just outside Champions Clash qualification. However, a third-place finish in Stage 2 is enough to qualify for the Midseason Championship, and a reunited effort from the former Al Qadsiah core should boost their chances of doing so.
