Team Liquid part ways with longtime tank Infekted
Team Liquid has announced the departure of Boston “Infekted” Fine from their roster, stating that he is a “Restricted Free Agent” for the foreseeable future. Infekted joined Team Liquid when the organization re-entered Overwatch at the start of the 2025 season.
Infekted clarified the wording shortly afterwards, explaining that he is on 30 days' notice with Team Liquid and will officially be off the team once that window closes. He added that he can "view my options during this 30 day window."
In OWCS, Infekted made a name for himself in 2024, after helping the future NRG Shock core reach the 2024 Dallas Major, before joining NTMR during their Esports World Cup campaign. Since the start of 2025, Infekted reigned as Team Liquid’s sole tank player, helping the team secure many top-three finishes in North America.
Infekted also plays at the collegiate level for Winthrop University, where he most recently won both the OWC Open and Varsity.
Since the start of 2026, Infekted has been slowly transitioned out of the starting roster in favor of Colin "Coluge" Arai in Stage 1 and later Kim "Attack" Jun-hwa. With this departure, Team Liquid will now operate with Attack as their lone tank player.
Team Liquid will return to competition in Stage 3 beginning on October 10.
